College for Derrick
There has been a delay in the production of these prints , but please keep looking as soon I expect thier availability.
All the proceeds of the sale of the Open Editions of Derrick are placed in an
account for his college fund.
Derrick is a 14 year old Belizean child
whom is already in a professional statis of Performance.
He has also designed and built two electric bass's from indigenous woods.
I see him as the next Les Paul.
Derrick has the drive and the will as well as the wish to pursue college focusing on music.
Currently, Derrick plays bass in a local adult band several days a week.
The money he makes, he shares with his family to pay bills.
I find Derrick an inspiration as well as a deserving child with the need for our help.
It is refreshing to find a young man with
his talent and wish to pursue his dream.
I painted Derrick in a style that I see
his energy and love for his music.
His playing arm becomes one with the guitar as he is with his music. His focus and
energy is reflected in the colors and movement. I hope you love this piece as much as I do.
